Fire Island has some of the worlds most spectacular sunsets! Enjoy the sunsets while dining bayside at McGuire's or The Mermaid. Or enjoy the view while your kids play on the playground or just take a stroll down one of the piers.

You're just a minute's walk over the dunes to paradise. Watch the sunrise or take a morning stroll on the warm, sandy beach. Collect shells, beautiful tumbled rocks and other curiosities. Create elaborate sandcastles, relax with a good book, refresh with yoga or just sit and take it all in. You have miles and miles of beach to explore just a short walk from your front door!

Our kids love it here and yours will too! Our family rental offers lots of activities for kids of all ages. We have toys, games, books, beach toys, rainy day activities and outside activities. When the kids aren't playing on the beach, many summer kids like to collect and paint seashells to sell to the day trippers and tourists; It's a Fire Island tradition. Your kids can find all the supplies they need to set up shop at the house. Ocean Beach also has a Wonderful Summer Camp Program for kids!

You'll see lots of wildlife during your stay, especially island deer. The animals are fun to watch but please don't try to pet or feed them.

The town of Ocean Beach has lots to offer. Everything you need is just a short walk into town. Dining, shopping, groceries and a bayside playground! We recommend having lunch at McGuire's, dinner at The Island Mermaid and getting ice cream at any of the three locations offered.

Spend the day exploring the island. You can walk, bike or take a water taxi to neighboring Fire Island towns and attractions. A few of our favorites are the Fire Island Lighthouse and the Sunken Forest.
